NEWSLETTER - Sept., 2008

Dear Friends and Family,

The year was 1976.  The crowds were gathered at the
track and field event in Spokane, WA for the Special
Olympics in which athletes with various disabilities
would participate.  The gun went off.  The contestants
took off for the race as the crowds cheered, when all of
a sudden one young man stumbled on the asphalt and
fell.  To the amazement of those present a couple of the
contestants stopped and went back to help the fallen
young man to his feet and together the three ran the
rest of the distance and crossed the finish line
together.  While the Special Olympics is considered a
serious event and while the contestants train with
discipline all throughout the year in hopes of winning
the coveted gold medal, these two contestants became
an example for all of something more important than a
gold medal – teamwork, unity, and outstanding love!
They were willing to sacrifice their dream of wearing
that golden medallion around their neck in order to help
and support a fellow sportsman who had fallen.

The elements of teamwork, unity, and outstanding love
are vital to the function of any entity and are most
important for the body of Christ in carrying out Christ’s
commission.  Each part of Christ’s body is vital for the
overall function and health of the body.  If one part is
cast aside the body becomes lame and incapable of
doing what needs to be done.  However, when the body
of Christ realizes the importance of each part vital role it
plays, whether seen or unseen, then we become a
mighty unified force that cannot be stopped.

“One Body, Many Parts”, the latest sermon in my  CEO
Pulpit Series, teaches that proper unity and godly love
are essential to the body of Christ in carrying out the
task God has given us to do until He returns.  I pray that
as you read this message that your eyes will be open to
not only see your function in Christ’s body but how that
function will help your congregation do more for God’s
Kingdom than ever before!

As always, feel free to distribute this message to your
family and friends.

In Him,

Mario Dučić

Pray For SERBIA

-One big need is: the young generation.
Among 8,3 million people inhabitants of
Serbia half million is addicted to drugs,
mostly young people. Many more to alcohol.
We have three rehab Christian centers in the
land they can receive all together only up to
90 people. We are launching a six weeks
prayer chain for this big need. We are praying
for the churches that God would be able to
bring about a revival.

Please pray with us.
-Pray for our pastors, the spiritual pressure is
very big. Three of my close friends who are
leading good works has come to a burnout
situation. They are on a sabbatical but it
seems that they will drop out from the
ministry.

Thanks for standing with us. This is a crucial
time for our nation.

News from Novi Sad, Serbia

Dear friends,

We would like to share some great news
with you. We had another baptismal service
this Saturday, 11 people were baptized, and
what a celebration that was! We thank God
for each person that  publicly testified that
they are following Christ.

Thank you for praying for us and for many
more that need to make a decision for Him.

Serving together,

Vera and Danny
